Heidi is the founder of The Music Therapy Alliance for Reproductive Wellness. With over 15 years of clinical experience, Heidi has served over 500 families in the midst of their reproductive journeys. She specializes in music therapy assisted childbirth, perinatal bereavement, maternal mental health, and reproductive trauma. Heidi uses a gentle, trauma informed approach in order to help clients produce lasting and healthy change. She has trained and supervised over 50 music therapists around the world. Heidi believes in the power of sharing knowledge & empowering others to achieve their full potential.
Heidi is the inaugural recipient of the ‘Benedikte Scheiby Pioneering Spirit Award’ (2019), a merit-based award that recognizes music therapists who have worked to expand music therapy by crossing traditional theoretical and practice-oriented boundaries to meet diverse clinical needs. She has presented her research, clinical work, and publications at regional, national, and international conferences, and her perspectives on perinatal bereavement and maternal mental health have been published on numerous websites and blogs.
Heidi is a Creative Arts Therapy PhD student and research assistant at Drexel University and the Senior Clinical Therapist at The Maternal Wellness Center in Hatboro, PA.
